Lois He is a New York–based multimedia storyteller and creative technologist crafting interactive experiences across film, games, live performance, and AI. Her work is driven by one central question: How will storytelling evolve in an era where anyone can easily create content with AI and fully participate in the creative process?
She explores a wide range of formats—from spatial experiences that use sound and sensors to create embodied, interactive narratives, to virtual environments that blend the language of film and games through VR and emerging technologies. She also experiments with the integration of XR and immersive live performance.
Her interactive and XR works have been featured at SIGGRAPH, SXSW Sydney, MIT, ARTECHOUSE NYC, La MaMa Gallery (NYC), the 2024 GEN-AI Summit (sponsored by Microsoft), CICA Museum (Korea), the China AI Gala, and other international venues.
As a filmmaker, her short films have screened at the Festival de Cannes Rendez-Vous Industry, Beijing International Film Festival, Tallinn Black Nights, and the Beijing International Short Film Festival, and have received honors including the Jury Special Prize at the European Independent Film Festival and the Agnès Varda First-Class Prize.
Beyond exhibitions and festivals, Lois collaborates with industry clients—producing content for GQ / Condé Nast, Tencent, and the CAFA Art Museum, and designing video for a Broadway musical.
