The Morph | In-progress

Interactive Live Mocap Performance

The Morph is an experimental, real-time mocap (motion capture) performance piece. We have customized a set of rigid body wearables for the performers, enabling the creation of a monstrous avatar that evolves in real-time with the movements of the performer. Audience members interact with the performers using ropes, driving the growth and eventual disintegration of the monster. This piece explores themes of external influences on individuals and the costs associated with personal growth.
